Terms & Conditions
Effective from 2 September 2026
1. Who we are
The piumella.com store is operated by MARV, s.r.o., Medkova 1591/34, 500 02 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, Company ID (IČO) 05898587, VAT ID CZ05898587, registered in the Czech Commercial Register (the “Seller”). Contact: info@piumella.com.
2. Ordering and contract
Placing an order constitutes a binding offer to purchase. The contract is concluded when we confirm the order by e-mail. We sell to consumers within the European Union; delivery is available to 25 EU countries (mainland addresses).
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in EUR and include VAT. Payment methods: PayPal (PayPal balance or payment card, available everywhere we deliver) and cash on delivery (Czechia and Slovakia only, no surcharge). We never see or store your card details — card payments are processed entirely by PayPal.
4. Delivery
We ship with Packeta within 2–5 business days of dispatch. Shipping costs €4.90 and is free for orders over €99. If a parcel arrives visibly damaged, please note it with the courier and contact us.
5. Right of withdrawal (14 days)
As a consumer you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason — just e-mail us at info@piumella.com and send the goods back to the address in section 1. We refund the price including standard shipping within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, using the original payment method. Direct cost of the return is borne by you.
Hygiene exception: compression hosiery is sealed for health protection reasons. The right of withdrawal does not apply to hosiery that has been unsealed and worn (Art. 16(e) of Directive 2011/83/EU) — trying the product on the way you would in a shop is of course fine.
6. Fit and sizing
Every pair we ship is brand new and hygienically sealed — the same promise that means we cannot take worn hosiery back and resell it to someone else. Please measure before ordering with our 60-second size guide. If you sit between two sizes, or you are buying compression for the first time, choose the larger size — it is easier to put on and remains clinically effective.
7. Defects and complaints
Statutory liability for defects applies for 24 months from receipt. Note that medical compression knitwear keeps its declared pressure for approximately 6 months of daily wear — the natural fatigue of the elastomer after that period is not a defect. To make a claim, contact info@piumella.com; we resolve complaints within 30 days.
8. Medical device notice
Compression stockings class I and II are CE-marked medical devices under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Piumella is the retail brand of the Seller; the goods themselves are XZ medical compression garments, delivered in the manufacturer’s original sealed packaging — see Products & certification. Read the instructions for use included in the box. If you have arterial disease, diabetes with neuropathy, or acute thrombosis, consult a physician before use.
9. Disputes
Out-of-court consumer dispute resolution is provided by the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, adr.coi.cz). These terms are governed by Czech law; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected.
